This temple is located in the middle of the three Koto mountains, a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves. Inside the main hall (a national treasure) built in 1288 during the Kamakura period, you can view many Buddhist statues up close, including an Amida Nyorai statue from about 800 years ago during the Heian period.

Sairinji Temple

With the rebuilding of the main hall as an opportunity, they started “creating a place that anyone can visit” as ” Reiwa no Terakoya”. Tamagawa Daishi

This temple has an underground Buddha hall and training hall, which was created as a miniature pilgrimage route that covers the 88 temples of Shikoku, 33 temples of the Saigoku region, and India. During the Sand Stepping Festival in May and October, you can worship by spreading sand from the above-mentioned temples on the underground approach to the temple.

Takenogosho Imperial Palace Style Shojin Cuisine Sankoin Nun’s Temple

This is the only nunnery in Japan that offers the 680-year-old Shojin ryori (vegetarian cuisine) prepared for imperial princesses to the general public. Reservations are required for meals, with meals starting at noon only. Dishes are prepared and served one plate at a time, taking 90 to 120 minutes.
No animal products are used, including the dashi broth.

Shoin-Jinja Shrine

Enshrined Deity：Master Yoshida Shoin
In 1863, four years after Master Shoin’s death, thanks to the efforts of his students, his remains were moved from Kozukahara to Wakabayashi, Setagaya, which had been owned by the Mori family of Choshu. In November of 1882, as Japan was rapidly advancing toward modernization, his students built a shrine to honor his legacy and to serve as a place of repose for his devoted spirit.

Fukutoku Shrine (Mebuki Inari)

The main deity of the shrine is Ukanomitama-no-mikoto, the god of bountiful harvests.
It was damaged in the Great Kanto Earthquake and burned down during World War II, but was later rebuilt and has overcome many historical events, and is now bustling with people who come to pray for winning the lottery or tickets to concerts and plays.
